Natural Resources Management Advisory Commission

 

The newly formed Natural Resources Management Advisory Commission combines the old Water Planning Commission with the Public Lands Use Advisory Commission and then expands the areas of interest to form this new commission to focus on  public and privately-owned natural resource issues.  They will be allowed to become cooperating agencies for projects and proposals that effect Elko County through environmental impact analyses and implement a natural resource review process.

Each member of the seven member board represents one of the following areas of experience or expertise:  Federally Managed Public Lands, Surface / Groundwater Water Resources, Recreation, Ranching / Agriculture, Mining / Milling, Private Land Use Development, Wildlife management and a “Non-Voting” staff member.
