Elko County Road Services Advisory Committee

The Elko County Road Services Advisory Committee consists of a 7 member board appointed by the Elko County Commissioners.   The committee was created on October 5, 2006 with the purpose of reviewing the current and future direction of road services in Elko County.  The committee was to follow a three phase process starting with Phase I which was dedicated to the education of its members on laws and regulations, financial parameters and history of everything dealing with the Elko County roads system.  Phase II involved field trips to examine currently maintained roads, including collection of data.  The last phase is the continued collection of data, review of requests for maintenance, education of the public on roads and why or if they are maintained.  Recommendations from this committee are presented to the Board of Commissioners for approval.
