Fourth Judicial District Court
Family/Juvenile Division - Court Master's Office

 

The Court Master's Office hears and administers the following types of cases on behalf of the Fourth Judicial District Court:

1.     Child support enforcement cases (originating with the District Attorney's Office
        or the Nevada State Welfare Division; these are cases beginning with the caption
        "DR-UI");
2.     Protective orders against domestic violence;
3.     Juvenile restraining orders;
4.     Juvenile dependency cases (initiated pursuant to NRS 432B involving the removal of 
        children from their parents or guardians due to allegations of abuse or neglect);
5.     Juvenile delinquency and child in need of supervision cases;
6.     Juvenile Drug Court;
7.     Truancy Court; and
8.     Teen Court.

The Court Master's Office does not handle divorce cases or custody and/or visitation matters.  These cases are assigned to one of the two District Court Judges.
