Welcome to the Elko County Public Works Office. 

We are responsible for numerous activities around the county including water and sewer systems, solid waste disposal, airport operations and traffic signals to name a few.  Our department applies for grants through the Community Development Block Grant program, the State Historic Preservation grant program,  the AB 198 program and others to help fund projects that bring services to our remote communities.  Once the systems are established we maintain and repair them and are always looking at making sure the needs of the citizens are met.
