Community Emergency Response Team

LEARN HOW YOU CAN BETTER PREPARE FOR EMERGENCIES 

The Community Emergency Resonse Team (CERT) represents the largest and most boradly-trained of the volunteer Citizen Corps groups.  CERT members can give critical support to first responders, provide immediate assistant to victims, and organize spontaneous volunters at a disaster site.  CERT members also help with non-emergency projects that help imporve the safety of the community.

CERT's are trained to prepare themselves, their families, their homes and their businesses for emergencies and disasters.  They are encouraged to have emergency supplies and to develop and practice their communication, evacuation and response plans on a regular basis.

Training
CERT volunteers participae in on-going training classes such as advanced first aid, wildand fire evacuation, shelter operaitons, search and rescue, public call taking, incident command and much, much more.  This training helps us to become real support for our professional responders.
