On July 21, 2021 at their mid-month meeting Elko County Commissioners approved a proclamation in honor of the National Night Out event happening August 3, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. (Pacific Time) in the Elko City Park. Hamburgers and hot dogs will be served to all.
This is the 37th annual "National Night Out" which provides a unique opportunity for Elko County to join forces with thousands of other communities across the country in promoting cooperative, police-community crime prevention efforts.
The citizens of Elko County play a vital role in assisting law enforcement through joint crime, drug and violence prevention efforts and it is essential that all citizens of Elko County be aware of the importance of crime prevention programs and the impact that their participation can have on reducing crime, drugs and violence in Elko County.
Commissioners encourage all citizens to learn about their important roles in enforcement situations by learning more about emergency services and those who provide them at this annual event.
